There are so many exciting careers available in the health care industry that you may actually have a difficult time deciding what’s right for you. There are careers as administrators, technicians, nurses, support workers, caregivers, therapists, physicians, assistants, and so much more.

At the end of the day, whether you decide to pursue a career in health care as a nurse, massage therapist, support worker or any one of dozens of unique opportunities, the industry continues to flourish and suggests that employment opportunities will be healthy (pardon the pun) for years to come.

You do not necessarily need to spend 4+ years in the classroom in order to achieve your goals of gaining employment. Do you possess a passion to help others? triOS College Business Technology Healthcare offers a 36 week Community Services Worker Diploma program that prepares students for a career in social services work. Community Services Workers provide assistance to people in the community in countless ways - such as helping clients with physical and mental programs; assisting those involved in drug and substance abuse; determining eligibility for welfare and health programs; counseling on child care - the opportunities are plentiful. Medical Laboratory Technician is yet another unique career choice available through career colleges. These technicians perform general tests in all laboratory areas: blood banking and hematology, immunology and microbiology. Advanced training is essential for career medical laboratory technicians. Robetech Institute, located in Toronto, offers a full time and part time diploma in this field, requiring only 12 to 18 weeks in the classroom, plus clinical time. Grade Twelve or Equivalent is required for acceptance into this program.
