10 TIPS: WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU CAN'T FIND WORK FOR 3 MONTHS OR MORE:
  1. Consider a career shift.
  2. Locate a mentor or career coach.
  3. Try part-time work or contract work through a temporary agency to test the waters of the industry you wish to enter.
  4. Create a personal business card showing a list of skills on the backside.
  5. Call back interviewer and ask what the reasons were for not being hired.
  6. Get the proper sleep, eat right, stay in control.
  7. Jot down your short-term and long-term goals - remain focused.
  8. Take a break on weekends to do sports, listen to music to reduce anxiety, light aromatherapy candles to relieve stress.
  9. Talk to a supportive person about your situation; network with family/friends.
  10. Send thank you notes after the interviews you're most interested in.
